If he would've done it two weeks ago, we wouldn't be hearing about a Democratic take over of congress. Most people would've have been happy and the Republican approval rating would've been up. I don't know what him resigning today accomplishes. Except, it might be part of a plan on Bush's part to try to reach out to the Democrats.

I haven't heard that is the case however, I think it's long over due! Congress needs to create legislation that stops elected officals from appointing their election cronies to "high paying" positions and require extensive experience as should be the case!
The war has been a joke from the onset with all the lying and what have you! There should be an investigation now with the democrats in power and start sending some of these "politicans" to jail where they belong! The truth falls back to saving face for Bush senior and the Texas oil industry!
