I and many others consume chalk indirectly. First I consume Tums antacids for the calcium content and anyone whose water source is from an area of limestone bedrock is consuming a form of chalk. Carboniferous limestone, sedimentary limestone or oolitic limestone. Stop osteoporosis eat chalk. LOL.

I never ate chalk, but I have eaten ash's out of an ashtray when i was small.
They say that something is lacking in the body.. some vitamin is missing. Think with me it was iron or something.. long ago, can't remember LOL

Someone I knew used to. It was when we were about 10 but she moved away soon after so I don't know if she still does it.
Me and all my friends just thought she was attention seeking lol.

Not I, but my sister, who is now 18, still eats chalk. she takes them from the college. doctors say, in doing so she is updating the level of her calcium intake, in which she may be defficient.
