All around me are familiar faces
Worn out places, worn out faces
Bright and early for their daily races
Going nowhere, going nowhere
Their tears are filling up their glasses
No expression, no expression
Hide my head I want to drown my sorrow
No tomorrow, no tomorrow

And I find it kinda funny
I find it kinda sad
The dreams in which I'm dying
Are the best I've ever had
I find it hard to tell you
I find it hard to take
When people run in circles
It's a very, very mad world mad world

Children waiting for the day they feel good
Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday
Made to feel the way that every child should
Sit and listen, sit and listen
Went to school and I was very nervous
No one knew me, no one knew me
Hello teacher tell me what's my lesson
Look right through me, look right through me

wat does he mean by "the dreams in which im dying r da best i ever had?" explain the whole thing please

Basically it's a song about how life is just one big boring thing, example, have you ever had a dream that you enjoyed so much that when you woke up for the rest of your day all you can think about was your dream and how much you just wish you were back in that place? for me it's when i'm around people who are happy, maybe for the guy who sung the song was of him dying, everyone has their own place of happiness, i once had a dream of me dying and it lead me to another "dream" and i was warm, comfortable, happy, the next night all i can think about was "am i gonna dream the same thing as last night?"

I think it's about how a man realizes that everything in life is routine and everyone is just a blur after a while.

It's up to you to decide what the song means. The guy enjoys having dreams where he's dying, why? I don't know, you either ask him or you make up your own mind about it.

it wasnt made for donnie darko, tears of fear originally made the song, i guess it just about him being happy about dying, maybe hes not living a happy life while he is alive
