I just started using it because none of the presc. meds for migraine prevention have worked for me. I am chronic. I have them almost everyday or every other day! What alternate meds for pain besides Imitrex....no narcotics, they kill me!

Yes I use it on a regular bases and IT WORKS I still get a headache but it is not as debilitating as the migraine. On the rare occasion that I do get the full migraine it goes away with in a couple hours. My father also uses it and it works for him too!

Migraine prophylaxis may be underused. This may be because of patient resistance in the face of unwanted side-effects, but may also be because GPs are less experienced in the use of prophylactic drugs. It may be appropriate to offer referral when control of migraine is unsatisfactory and expertise in migraine prophylaxis is needed. However, it is often appropriate to manage prophylaxis in general practice. When successful, it is very beneficial to patients' quality of life.

Don't know about feverfew but I have had relief from taking sniffs of oil of Marjoram prepared in a carrier base (I think it's a kind of paraffin). It's part of aromatherapy, relieves tension, works for me! Spearmint or Lavendar are another two oils that might help you.
