I mean its natural to be happy when your party wins. yes the dems got the majority in the house, but its not enough to get laws and such passed.... they are going to have the same problems that the republicans had with not getting enough votes and they're gonna start complaining about grid lock but its gonna all fall on deaf ears bc no one listened when republicans said the same thing.

It is about the manical lunacy of Dubya. By having a Democratic house, it will hopefully neutralize the power of the president. Hopefully we have a batch of Dems who have discovered that the actually have a backbone and stand up when Bush decides to do something else crazy. Hopefully each side can recognize that as voters we have had enough of the bs, and it is time to get it together.

But it is enough to get laws passed. Nancy Pelosi said at her press conference w/in the past hr that the dems will work together with the president in a bi-partisan way. The fact that the dems took over the house by the margins they did means that the pres will have to recognize that people are unhappy with the way he's running the country. He now realizes that if he wants to get anything done he will have to work with the dems rather than ignore them.
He is speaking as I write this & he just stated that he will work with the dems to find a common ground.
It isn't true that the republicans couldn't get laws passed; they were in the majority. Laws they wanted passed got passed until the last several months when many of the republicans realized how unpopular the president had become due to his stance on Iraq.
This president refused to listen to, or compromise with, the democrats re Iraq & is now paying the price.

Happy because the margins were so narrow that both parties will have to work together or get kicked out..No one got a landslide in the election like Bush did and thats why he got so cockey thinking everyone would agree with him regardless what he did. Same when Hitler came to power no politician needs to get a landslide but they need to know that it all can be taken away if they dont shape up !! Because people will vote and the more the better !!

It's about change. It's like when a new bride gets tired of her furniture arrangement. She will change it around to create a new "feeling" a new "mood". It is about that change. It brings about a feeling of elation but it might be nothing more than having one bill bounce from one corner of the room to the next. Who knows.

Now they have two years to make people remember all the crap we put up with while Clinton was in there.

how do you think we got our freedom by standing back.
in the public eyes iraq does not deserve freedom like ours. we need keep fighting the terrorist for the people OF THE WORLD from the terrorist who rule it. and we are not dictator we are freedom fighters who fight for FREEDOM, JUSTICE AND LIBERTY. unfortunitly people lost sight of it and voted wrong yesterday.
and morally we are now also headed in the wrong direction. people need to be responible for their action and not blame it on science or the society.
finally for the budget there goes the state and national level budget and economy and our taxes. people what things to be in place for a better country and community. but who do you think we pay for it in the long run. we do with our taxes, not with the so called federal and state money people think we have.
country is in a mess thanks to the ungrateful american public who forget how our free
