We lived in a three story house. The first floor was rented to a state policeman and his wife. They did not have any children. We lived on the second floor. My brother and I had separate bedrooms. Mine was on the front of the house. The room had a bay window so that I could see up and down the street. It had french doors that went into the living room. What I remember most is the third floor. One of the rooms was used for storage, but Joe and I had all the rest to play in. We had all of our toys there and our friends would come up there to play. It was a great place for rainy days. I remember having tricycle races, hide and seek, and many hours playing board games - Monopoly, Parcheesi, Clue, Life, and others. This was a long time before computers. My Dad sold the house the same year that I started high school. I've driven by to see the old house whenever I am in Massachusetts, I live in Georgia now. There was also a large barn there also. There was parking for two cars and the rest was used for hay storage. The man next door had a milk cow. The house was on a small stream. We could go swimming or fishing from the back lawn. It was a great place to grow up.

My room was an upstairs dormer room. My mother made inside "awnings" from cardboard and painted them. She made the curtains and bedspread to match.. My best memories of our home was the magic momma did with decorating at all holidays, but Christmas was the best! She made everything, was so artistic and imaginative---- and boy, could she cook! Our house always smelled heavenly!

I grew up in a pretty decent house. Not very big but nice enough and in a good neighbourhood. I remember we had ORANGE SHAG carpeting in the living room, (we moved in in the late 70's), and my bedroom had rainbow wallpaper and a rainbow bedspread and rainbow curtains and purple walls. It seemed great when I was a kid.

my house was awesome, always filled with the neighborhood kids, always playing in my big backyard and swimming in my pool. it was really 80s because the people that lived there before had horrible taste, lots of brown and green carpet! ew, but we re-did it so its nice now lol.
