If her waters have broken you really should take her to the hospital asap! It really could be dangerous to her and the baby if she stays at home any longer. She needs to be checked out right away!.

Get ready to catch LOL The risk of infection after the water has broken is CAUSED by dr's and nurses sticking things up inside the vagina, not the water being broken itself. Is your wife wanting to have a homebirth? I know MANY people who have had them, they are all so happy with the experience. The risk of some complication is very very low, so unless you have an especially high risk for some other reason, let her be.

Well normally when the water breaks...labor is certainly starting...how long it will take is indeterminable!!! However since the water broke your baby is now at a higher risk for infection due to the opening of the amniotic sac...my greatest suggestion is to take her in so that she can be in a more sterile environment!! Infections such as these can cause problems for the wife and baby
CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Call the doctor....it's your baby too!!

Get her to the hospital now. You have 24 hours from the time the water breaks until delivery. If not you chance a serious infection that can be very serious to your wife and your unborn baby. Get her dressed and get moving! Best of luck.

Yes she is in labor you need to sneek into another room and call the doctor and tell the doctor you are taking her to the hospital and then either take her yourself to the hospital or call 911 for an ambulance to take her. By the way CONGRATULATIONS MOMMY AND DADDY.

she must get to the hospital if her water has broken. if she won't let you take her, call 911. if the baby isn't delivered within 24 hours of the water breaking, there is a HUGE risk of infection or even death. be smart about it... you baby's well-being is more important than what your wife wants to do.

Unless you and your wife were cleared for a home delivery and are prepared for it; TAKE HER TO THE HOSPITAL. No telling what kind of complications if any are going to happen. It's not only about her but also the baby to ensure that they're both healthy. If you have to... pick her up and tie her into the vehicle and drive to the hospital. CONGRATS on the new wee one!!

Well if your wifes water broke and you're on the computer....you're all in trouble. If she doesn't want you to contact the doctor, too bad, do it anyway....what happens if there are problems?
