The one show that never made sense to me was Alf. That was a giant ball of hair that talked. Go figure that one out.
As far as relating to a show, probably nothing but if I had to pick one, I'd say Mary Tyler Moore. She broke the mold for the role of females on television and inter-relating in society. And of course, her spunk.

the one that made no sense to me is...Star Trek (im sorry if I offend any trekkies in saying this) I could just never get past the weird costumes and strange terminology

I can relate to Mythbusters because I always like to ask the kind of questions they try to prove or bust on that show.
I also really like Gilmore Girls-they seem so normal compared to other television characters

Both one in the same. Green Acres. There was one sane protagonist, Oliver Wendell Douglas, and he was surrounded as anyone ever has been in a zombie flick, by stupid, ineffectual and ridiculous people. He lived in a nightmare he kept waiting to wake up from. I love this show because all its dadaist, surreal, nihilistic absurdity was totally alone in the context of a 60s sitcom.

I liked the show "Roseanne" because the family was imperfect, with realistic problems and the humor was sardonic and witty. She faced problems with humor, and that is how I try to face them.
When I was a kid I watched "The Brady Bunch" and I used to not understand how come they could solve problems so easily on that show and our family could not. I kept wishing it was that easy.
Neither of those shows is my favorite, but they are the ones I can and can not relate to.

I could really relate to Everybody Loves Raymond because my last name is the same, my first name is Debra and the Barone family is identical to my inlaws. Also we are Sicillian. I hated the bachelorette.

The Daily Show w/Jon Stewart and Twin Peaks respectively. The former for it's witty and satirical relevance; the latter for it's piece-meal and over-extended plot life.

I loved the show Friends because the script writing was awesome. I totally hate the show the Amazing Race because it's stupid.
