Not if the case against you has merit. This is to stop people being afraid to bring a claim against someone out of fear of reprisal law suits. So basically unless the claim is malicious then no.

Some states allow you to recover attorney fees, others don't. Others allow recovery only if it can be established that the claim was malicious or frivilous as defined under the law (not your personal opinion).

you can sue anyone for anything, that doesn't mean you'll get a judgement. typically that would only happen if the original lawsuit were frivolous or maliscious. if you lied or did it in retaliation for being fired etc etc etc
