was that the big black dude? I liked him...
I got bored with that show after the first season. They tell about two paragraphs worth of a story in an hour. I actually timed it. Each show is only 20 minutes long, the rest is commercials. Thats really lame to me. I'll wait until the show is over and rent the DVDs, since iam too poor for tvo.

He did die. But how could his death make the show unwatchable? You must have watched it in the 1st Season, when he wasn't on the show yet.
I don't find any of the characters annoying. I find them totally compelling. And don't worry...I'm sure Eko will be back in flashbacks and hallucinations. They've brought back Ian Someralder (Boone) back a couple of times.

I don't think his death makes it unwatchable, but I think there was far more they could have done with the character, and it's a shame he had to leave the series this soon. It's almost as if the producers ran out of things to do with the tail section after they were found, and they were only created to further the plot. Who's next? Bernard?
I still think Charlie has the least to do and is the most disposable. Claire doesn't have much to do either, but I'm sure she'll stick around because she has to raise Aaron by herself.

Not really. I liked him okay but I really wasn't all that crazy about anybody from the tail crew. Are any of them even alive any more?
Eko was an interesting character but such a mixture of good and evil, it seems inevitable that something like that would happen to him.
Lost is going to different places this season....but that's okay. I LOVED the first season, second season "eh" and third season so far, interesting but not as involving as the first season. I am keeping an open mind.

Not at all. The show has killed off featured and supporting characters in the past seasons. I bet we see another character killed off before season three is over. The concept that no one is safe (aside from probably Jack, Kate and Sawyer) is one of the strengths of the show.
