"Best" is subjective. It's probably easier to say which is the *easiest* class to play.

Easiest classes, overall, tend to be hunters and warlocks. With high DPS, a variety of pets, and great ability to kite, they can do quite a lot.

Conversely, the hardest is the druid, due to the complexity - if you aren't a stellar player, you'll likely make a mediocre druid at best.

There is no "best" class in WoW, they've done extensive work at trying to balance out each class so that they have all their strengths and weaknesses in certain areas. Depending on the type of player you are, preferences, and what you personally excel at any of the classes could be your personal "best" class.

By your question however, I'm assuming that what you want is simply opinions on what people prefer as their "favorite" class. Taking this from a "favorite" class perspective, and having played 3 classes up to level 60 as well as 3 other classes into their low to mid 50s I would have to say my favorite class is the Mage. Nothing thrills me quite as much as Frost Nova on 20+ mobs, or seeing the screen fill with so many damage marks that it actually lags you down slightly. It's an incredible rush to take out an entire army of mobs singlehandedly.

There is no best class in wow. They worked very hard to insure no class has an overwhelming advantage against another. For every class, there is another that can easily beat it and there is a class that it can easily beat.

The best class is really what you prefer playing, so make a few toons and once you get to lvl 20ish, you'll be able to have a good idea of how the class functions and if you like it or not.

I perfer my warrior, but i can get toasted by magic easily. What you have to understand is that for every class there are basically 4 subclasses, or your spec, and what you do and how well you do it really depends on your spec. Ive seen warriors fight like a rogue in berzerker stance with dual wield and do way more damage than a rogue. But rogues can vanish, ah but warriors wear plate. If it is your first character dont get a druid.

I would say the mage is the best in many areas. But when it comes to fighting a rogue you better have Frost Nova and Ice Barrier ready to go. I LOVE MY MAGE!!!

personally i would say druid. they can heal, dps and tank. well but not very proficient...but effective.

if u like solo, hunter or warlocks.

i, personally, like the warlock. my sister likes the druid. my boyfriend likes the priest. they're all good for their own reasons.
