I have Marques Colston whom I can start at TE in his absence. OR should I trade Shockey for a top WR instead?

Your answer is simple. You take shockeys points(and projected value in mind) along with whatever defence you already have. Add them together and see what the value would be versuses what the point value would be with Chicago defence and whatever backup tight end you have (and projected value in mind). Do this with all trades to see if you are really benefiting. Keep strength of schedule in mind.

Trade Shockey for Chicago defense

Sure, do it.

Chicago has a soft schedule for the most part. Shockey is hit and miss. Colston is now a must play every week. If you have enough quality WRs to fill all the WR slots, Chicago should be a nice addtion.

Now, if someone is stupid enough to give you Holt/Harrsion/Wayne or another top wideout, I would prefer that. I doubt it though.

That appears like a dream commerce. LJ may have a huge three hundred and sixty 5 days and may end contained in the authentic 5 or more effective of maximum rushing catagories. Brown and Jackson will both be strong aspect getters with the departure of Ricky Williams and Marshal Faulk (now to not instruct bypass satisfied Mike Martz). both have the flair to be authentic 10 backs this season. also there's no different participant which will come close to to taking the starting up interest remote from any of those gamers. Gates is the authentic TE and a real 10-15 WR in maximum leagues. This commerce has a wide upside given you may want to easily lose one characteristic participant by gaining 3. Do it, do it.

If I were you I would use Colston in my WR slot since he is eligible in both positions and NOT trade away Shockey - but it depends on how your scoring system works for Defenses in your league.

Chi is unquestionably the best fantasy D, but is your existing team def that bad that you would move either of these 2 solid players?

Colston Rocks!!!!! I'd trade Shockey for another WR unless you have a really sucky D. defenses are underrated and can give you some serious points.

Hell No
Chicago will still have a great season, only do that trade if you get a decent D and you give him a decent TE allong with shockey and Chicago
