People kill for power, money, fear, greed, selfishness, pleasure, control, ignorance, etc. It demonstrates how low a human being can go and the grossness of the heart. they kill believing that a reward of some kind will be coming their way (gain), not understanding that by so doing, they are given the opportunity of eternity to pay off the debt. The killers of the world are spiritually dead, meaning they walk and talk, but are already dead themselves. As long as human beliefs exist, there will be killing.

My uncle was murdered before Christmas of 2000. I didn't really understand death too well at the time and I still don't. Same with killing people. I just don't get it. Honestly, I don't think anyone DOES get it. They just think they do and do it. Then, there are the crazies. They don't know right from wrong to start out with. I think all killers are crazy. I won't judge them further by saying they should all die or go to hell, because I'm not an extremist when it comes to being judgemental. It's not my job and I don't ever plan on being a judge of anything except my own actions and thoughts, or unless asked for my opinion--that's another story. But, yes, 'we' must refer to 'them' as in the killers in general. However, some people feel sad, others happy of one's death. It's called individuality.

do you want the truth, people kill because they are not ok with themselves. Jelousy, rage, ect. Also if you take a pacifist stand point on life, someone who doesnt feel the same way as you will kill you. The best thing to do is shake your finger at those who kill for no reason but stand behind those that kill so that you may live.

Why do people kill each other? I really couldn't answer this question because there are tons of reasons but the one I think is good enough is people kill eachother because they do it out of anger or some do it just because they simple can.

How long before we learn? I don't think we will ever learn.. Our earth will be destroyed before people stop killing eachother.

Limited resources + Too many people = A lot of unhappy people
Unhappy people all want more resources but other unhappy people would not give them up.
Unhappy people go to war and kill of other unhappy people.
End result:
Limited Resources + Much less people = Happy people

Thus killing gains resources and thus happiness for those who win.

Well, let me think of some of the reasons.... somebody doesn't like you and wants you out of the way, so they whack you / You have something the other person wants, so he whacks you and takes it / You discover something about that person and he doesn't want you blabbing it and getting him in trouble, so he whacks you to make sure you never talk. Your parents have a lot of money, and it doesn't look like they are going to die anytime soon, so you whack them, to get it sooner. Your spouse is in the way because you have fallen for somebody else, so you whack him/her to avoid the hassle of divorce and the loss of half your possessions. Your religious beliefs are different from somebody else's religious beliefs, so you whack them because you feel YOU are right, and YOUR god will approve. Or in some cases you are just so brain-twisted, you have a compulsion to go around whacking people because you get some kind of weird thrill from it. When you look at all these examples, and I am sure there are dozens more just like them, you get the sense that it all boils down to the whacker wanting to gain some particular advantage over the whackee. I guess if we could figure out how to alter their brains to eliminate that, we wouldn't have people going around whacking anyone any more.

Name your cliche, parents didn't give enough care, he was just plain insane, crime of passion, God told him to do it.
People don't learn because they've never been near the situation so they don't know really what it's like. They don't understand how awful of a thing it is.

there are no gains, god is against it from the beginning. jealousy, a profitable gain, of an out rage of anger and maybe accidental, there is no reason for some one to kill another.
