Personally, I would pick the 1st question of children who disrupt class become failures. This would be easier to research because I'm sure you can get tons of quantitative data on this (statistics) which is easier to process.
Your best bet for researching anything for social science classes is to look for peer-reviewed journals. Google Scholars is a good choice. Make sure that when you do look through Google Scholars, that you look for journals only, and not stuff you can find in People magazine, etc.
When you find a peer-reviewed journal, read the abstract and see if it relates to your topic, and check it out.
Ebsco-host is another engine that's great for researching journals.
Also, look for books that deal with youth criminality. They might mention briefly on the agents of socialization which has caused a child to become criminal.

I would probably do the one about disruptive children. There will be loads of sources such as journal articles, the internet and books concerning teaching and books about children with bahvioural problems. Go to the university library they should have loads of books to help you. You could write a section towards the end of the essay on possible solutions to the problem. Good luck.

I ought to accept as true with Scottish guy. An essay on drug purchasers will fill greater suitable than 12 pages. I relatively have some adventure in that container, and could make it easier to realize that i ought to write a e book. to boot, playing, highway rage, drugs and crime all in all probability come from the comparable place interior the human psyche. In my own opinion all of it boils all the way down to escapism.

One thing to look up is "emotional maturity" and the role of nurturing when it comes to children who are emotionally mature. (The kids who are mature enough to behave in class.).
One reason children are seen as failures is that they lack the social maturity of the children who behave properly, so they're seen by others as less intelligent or at least "babies". The well adjusted, mature, kids don't have the patience for them.
If you go to "zerotothree.org" there's a lot of information about the importance of the right type of nurturing and the formation of brain synapses in the first years of life. www.educare.com is also another good place to start.

i like the second option better - i work in mental health sector and am interested in how people will go to great lengths to get attention even if the attention they then receive is negative. as a long shot there may be a link with 'personality disorders' which you could research on via google search engine. good luck x

Do you really have to write an essay, you poor person, what is this the annual piece of work on your course? It's no wonder you are on a sociology course, any other course you wouldn't have time for trawling the net.

I suggest visiting http://www2.wwnorton.com/giddens5/
Also, if you're interested in unequal treatment in classes on the basis of gender, and/or race I suggest you take a look at June Statham's 1986 publication "Daughters and Sons: Experiences of Non-Sexist Childraising", American Association of University Women (AAUW)'s "How Schools Shortchange Girls" (published in 1992), Myra Sadker and David Sadker's "Failing at Fairness" (published in 1994), Byran, Dadzie, and Scafe's "Learning to Resist: Black Women in Education" (part of "Gender Under Scrutiny: New Inquiries in Education"). Even Garry Trudeau (Doonesbury) has something to say: just search around for "Alex and Mrs Jasper".
Hope this helps you write your essay!
