Well, when u ask about a pollution free place to raise a european kid, i would suggest going to Northern India. Places like Dehradun and Mussouri where international kids are brought up in a secured and well taught environment.
I've studied in Dehradun, the best place for schooling and early education.
Rest depends upon you!
Good Luck.

Avoid all the cities and metro's, they are not only polluted, but also unsafe and unkind to everyone and anyone. Schools are overcrowded and fees exorbitant !!
Try schools in Uttaranchal, in places like Dehradun, Nainital and Mussoorie. Not only they have one of the best schools in India, but are also excellent places to grow up in. Average literacy rate is more than 79%, much higher than the national average, while crime rate is less than 12%, much much less than the national average..

I would suggest schools in Dehradun, Mussorie. These schools are located at North of India (U.P). The private schools here one the best, and the enviornment is also clean.

u should check up on Pune, Hyderabad or Vishakapatnam
but u won't easily find a no pollution+private school combo (since pollution = industry = money = private schools)
