This mistaken belief may not last as long as paranoia though. There are enough not so helpful folks out there that will bring your sense of reality back. Bring you back to earth with a thud.

I do believe that there is a reverse paranoia, most everyone is out to help you, however it may mean that you have to go over a few bumps in the road and/or take a few falls before you get to that helping point.
