I think it is definately true! Because some people can only see skin deep and others can see past that. So, like I think my husband is a very good looking guy, but not every one thinks the same as me. Besides, peoples personalities can make them ugly or beautiful to!!!!

It is a not a proverb or a proverbe, but a line from one of Shakespeare's play: "Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder". It is appropriate for all persons and all ages.

I think that isn't the proverb.
Real writers don't use "d" as a word.
"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder."
And, by the way, it's true.

beauty is an abstract adjective and subject to user definition
although most things find universal appeal, certain others may be appreciated by only a select few who know what they r looking at
everything is beautiful and everythiing is ugly, u only need to find the right angle for both!
so the proverb literally vests the beholder with the responsibility of being able to distinguish the wheat from the chaff and then putting both to proper use!

It is very true. Each person has their own perspective. Some do not go further than what they can see with their physical eyes and end up missing out completely on a persons dazzlingly beautiful inner qualities.

Firstly, if you are going to quote, do it properly. They do offer spell check on Yahoo too!
Secondly, the concept of beauty is based in perception and personal opinion, so the saying is incredibly true.

I think it makes a wonderful line in the speech of the final round of a beauty pageant...........LoL.

It simple, see the person you like you will find that person beautiful however ugly she may be. so its the beholder who feels that your beautiful........

Please avoid such kind of spellings. Few people might feel it as trendy but few others like me say tht the saying is being spoiled. And yes i totally agree with what shakespeare has to say in this context.
