Finding exact stats for European countries will be a tough research project, but it appears that firefox attributes to roughly 12% usage worldwide. here is a link to browser usage comparisons at wikipedia. this could be a starting point at least :)

As much as I like Firefox, the numbers that "Rich Z" gave you are biased (Firefox is about 18% and IE 78%). If you read the small print you will see:

"W3Schools is a website for people with an interest for web technologies. These people are more interested in using alternative browsers than the average user."

Of course we know that the average user is simply clueless about alternate browsers, which make up the majority of the people, so therefore here is some more realistic stats:
IE 81.28%, FF 12.96%

dunno, but i use both! firefox for most things, then internet explorer for msn and a few sites that won't work properly on firefox.
