GIRLS, say you started talking to a guy in your city you met on a dating site with the intent to see if you guys have anything in common. When would you want to know he doesn't have a car? Would this turn you off? If so it would do so so much that you wouldn't wanna date him?

By the way I'm 22

it's b/c i'm in college and dont really need one right now. plus i'd just rather take the bus right now since i live in the city than always paying for gas. but i do have money for it, i do have a job.

should i tell her during out first conversation? or after our first date? or somewhere in between?

You met her online. Tell her online. Ask her on a date (which makes her happy) and then arrange transportation from there. Say "I don't have a car, because it's just not something I need in my life right now, but I can get a taxi for us or we can work something else out. What do you think?" It let's her know up front. It answers the inevitable "why" and it let's her get involved in the decision. Bring flowers on the first date and you've more than compensated. Good luck!

I wouldn't make it the first thing out of your mouth but before the first date would be good - tell her what you said in your question and in my book its better to be honest from the get go. Also if she really has a problem with you not having a car and can't understand why you don't you would probably be better off without her.

When it comes up, I guess. If it's that big of a deal to her dump her and move on ! Hopefully there's more to you than your car ? - or lack thereof ?
