I saw a NYC MTA bus with the message "Emergency call police" scrolling across the top front of the bus what is it am I supposed to call police or are they just informing people that the bus is not in service?

i didnt see anyone on the bus-its not like i saw a guy with a gun or something

The driver is trying to alert the public of an emergency on the bus, and to get them to call the police.

They were probably on an important call. Something probably happened that required their assistance. Bus accident maybe.

I'm not sure but to be safe I would have called the police, explained to them and then let them make the call
