IRUVAR (1997)in tamil,Directed by Manirethnam.It was on the real story behind Jayalalitha's romance with M.G.R and their relations with M.Karunanidhi.Mohanlal from Malayalam was the Hero part.
A.R.Rahman done the music for that film.
"Iruvar" means "Two persons".It was really the clash between M.G.R.(the one time Superstar in Tamil and Super chief minister of Tamilnadu) and Mr.M.Karunannidhi(current chiefminister of TN and a writer at MGR's time).
Aiswarya was the main attraction of that movie....but we can not say that movie was a great success in th Box office!!

Her first movie was was Iruvar in 1997. Mani Rathnam has told a fine story about two friends. One who is a film actor whom the people love dearly and harbours political ambitions. One who is an accomplished writer, poet and politician.
