I went to the Cleveland Cavaliers game last night. They snatched defeat from the jaws of victory again by not playing defense and missing about 12 free throws.

You might be partially correct on that one. Since Phoenix used their run-and-gun system last year, most of the teams also went running. This causes people not getting back on defense and it will just be a test of offense.

Why partially correct? San Antonio is still arguably the best defensive team in the league. Their backcourt runs, but their front court gets back on D as quickly. As far as four games go, none of their opponents scored more than 93 points.

It has gotten out of control and the rules have been set up to eliminate team defense which then creates a league of scorers. It basically eliminates good team offense and is centered on having that one player that will do it all. I am getting close to becoming anti NBA and only watching college ball.

Here in Chicago, the Bulls are concentrating on defense as evidenced by signing veteran players such as PJ Brown and Ben Wallace. So we're still playing defense =). So far we're 2 - 2, but we'll see how it season goes.
