A 500 lb laptop? Are you crazy? How would you carry it? You'd need a wheelbarrow.

.u can go for a HP, COMPAQ, ACER, laptops... but as far as i know u can find a brand new one with the configuration u said for the price u quoted ....
if i were u.. the i would prefer either a MAC or an HP/compaq laptops....
however the configs are a little smaller than ur expectations ... but for the things that u want to do.......they would suit u..
go for a laptop with 40GB hard disk, with 256/512Mb ram.... and intel P4 processor or equivalent celron processor...
ok.. any way u can search for laptops on the net and i think u can find one thats less than 500 pounds.....pretty easily........
take care... and have a nice day........
bye...bye.......

any Dell one in that price range will be fine. You can't go wrong with a dell.
