Yes you can install a remote start on a manual trans car, but the remote start must have a safety switch for the clutch. Not all kits have these so you must look for it.
The switch ensures that the clutch pedal is depressed, thus taking the trans out of gear, before the starter will crank.

Ah, you mean a remote starter. Probably not, the clutch needs to be fully depressed before the starter can engage. To make the remote starter work you would have to disable several safety items and would probably still be asking for trouble. I think its a bad idea.

Yes. You just have to leave it in N, with the emergency brake on. (I think) And a lot of places won't do it because it's such a tricky job. I always just used to have a spare key, and run out in my PJ's, start the car, lock it, and let it warm up. (I know you're wanting to prevent that, but you'll see that it will be costly and risky to install a car starter on a standard)

if you do it yourself the yes, that way you are responsible for all damage you can create when you start the car remotely with trans in the gear or any other problems. Don't say anything about that to insurance company, the may refuse the coverage
sure think is, no service or repair facility will install it

Yes- you simply need to install a clutch bypass. Any place that istalls the starts will indeed know what to do.
