first fine out what sort of screw head it it (pozi or flat) then get the right screw driver, insert blade into screw head and turn while keep driver prssed hard against the screw, i hope your not fooling around? if you get stuck pls do not hesitate to e-mail me, thanks and good luck!

Sometimes door handles are held with hex or Allen screws. You can buy a set of wrenches in ANSI or Metric sizes in any tool store.
For a normal screw it probably requires a Phillips screwdriver.

get a slighty bigger, and/or LONGER screw and then try tightening it..and if that doesnt work, and you can use a bolt. drill it out all the way and bolt it on..
