I think both of them should not put us fine americans through that torture again. At least the past recounts were for valid reasons that was our president and due to hanging chads or some screw up by bushs brother to taint the victory. These 2 will just plain lose for grown men they tend to cry a lot dont they

Yes, they will because they are the same as democrats when they lose. I am a democrat and i was pissed that Kerry didn't ask for a recount. With all these voting machines screwing up its almost certain. Republicans are going to be even sorer losers cause they aren't used to losing and they are in shock that the people actually disagree with the president as much as they do. Because when it comes down to it thats what this election was really about. The people are sick of this assine rule by a person who can barely complete a sentence and he is supposed to complete the job in Iraq, come on thats an unrealistic expectation and the people have realized it.

The law in both states provides for a recount when the election is this close It's not only for the candidate's benefit, it's also for the benefit of all citizens: it ensures the integrity of the electoral process. They should have the recounts.

Allen already has. It actually is the State law. And when it comes that close, they should re-count. It has nothing to do with accepting. People make mistakes...It is the only way to make sure the right person is in the Senate.

The truth is, when an election is very, very close, a recount should be expected. Alot is at stake, and regardless of your party, I don't think it is out of line to ask for a recount in these close races.
