There are many things in the world that are not deserving of respect. However, most everything is deserving of tolerance and, most of all, rational consideration.
If you want to be respectful towards everything, you're going to have to respect murderers, rapists, etc., etc., people who don't, in my opinion, deserve it.

Nope, you are not respectful of homophobia. On the other hand, I would venture to say that you respect homossexuals.

I don't respect Osama Bin Laden am I respectful? Yes people can be respectful even if they disrespect people, those deserving of disrespect.
