Is there any beeping when you start up your PC? Have you made sure that the cable is securely connected on both ends for the monitor?

Generally if ram has bad sectors in it, the PC will still boot up. I am not sure if this is the same for a video card, but I think so. Have you made sure the video card is in its slot all the way? I would open your PC and check. Oh and have you recently installed any new software or hardware?

Check to see if you receive beeps from the CPU. Check your power cable and also your monitors cables. You could also try pushing your RAM more securely into its position.

go into bios to see if screen works then. if so then its just your gpu. if not, its your monitor or connection. from what you have said it has nothing to do with ram. new gpu might fix it either way, can you test it with a different monitor?

I don't think the problem is the memory.
If your not getting a image on the monitor, your video card might be the problem. Open the case and re-seat the video card and try it again. If that doesn't solve it, try another video card.

Run a memory test. A very good and free one is Memtest86: http://www.memtest86.com
Microsoft also has a memory diagnostic test at: http://oca.microsoft.com/en/windiag.asp

remove your ram and replace it, if that solves the problem, you had bad ram; if it doesn't put your old ram back in and move on to more problem-solving
