I would very much like to be agree but that is not true. Both hard work and luck pave the way to success. Suppose someone gets an intimation letter for a good service and he is supposed to join it within a few days. Suppose he gets ill or meets any accident, he would not get the job. So both the luck and hard work are equally important for success. A holy Indian book says "Do your work, reward is not your concern." Simply we can interpret it that we will have to work hard and leave the rest to Almighty. I hope you will agree !

How about this one, " I believe in luck, it seems the harder I work, the luckier I get"

Most of success is due to hard work, but sometimes fate intervenes (or God or Divine providence) and you get a "break" by being in the right place at the right time or by knowing the right person.

But I believe, at least 90% of success can be attributed to hard work.

Not entirely. I believe it is a combination of factors. I have worked hard for my success, but I recognize that I have also experienced some very fortunate circumstances to enable me to be as successful as I have been. I know people who work harder than I do, with discipline and a good attitude, yet haven't experienced the level of success I have because the really "lucky" opportunities haven't dropped into their lap like they did mine.

Now, that doesn't make them necessarily *less* successful as human beings, but outwardly it would appear so.

Good fortune has a lot of bearing on success, but only for those with the work ethic to take advantage of the opportunities.

Hard work is the key...yes. But I also think that sometimes being in the right place at the right time can be considered luck and can make your carreer soar. It helps to have both!

Nope, sorry.

Success is a combination of education, hard work, and being in the right place at the right time (luck).

I think luck has a lot to do with my own success. Being in the right place at the right time and knowing what to say to whom.

Work smarter, not harder.

There is no such thing as luck. People make their own destiny good or bad.
