A man walks into a store and begins shopping only to find that the store is getting ready to close for the evening. He hurries to try to find what he wants and suddenly he slips onto something that was on the floor. As he is getting up from the floor he looks back at the stuff he had picked out and suddenly realized that he had not mopped his floor at home. He knew the store was going to close soon so he took all of his things to the cashier to pay for his things. As the cashier was finishing bagging his groceries that the man paid for she looked at the man and said........I was just kidding the store isn't really closing. They both laughed as the combination of each others experience was that in itself.

No, not at all, I'm sorry, but there is actually nothing funny about it when you read it.
Maybe it is funny when you tell it in a good way, even the most stupidest jokes are funny that way ; )

This sounds more like a "fable" with a moral, although I can't imagine what the moral is.

There is nothing amusing about the story.
