i believe it does have an effect on violence. too many kids that think they're hard take it seriously..........I am a huge rap-hiphop fan and I honestly do think that it has become very violent. rap truly is making the gang lifestlyle out to be this glorious deal when it's not. 2pac (RIP) was considered the greatest of all time because he wanted to change that. He did not want women to be considered b*tches anymore, he educated about the hard lifestyle he went through and let everyone know that there is much better out there.
Unfortunately there is no rapper out there right now that is stepping up and trying to do what 2pac did as far as educating people on how real dangerous its out there. Its a shame

Actually there is plenty of rap groups and rappers that are trying to spread a positive message through hip-hop. Jurassic 5, The Roots, Outkast, Cee-lo, The Black Eyed Peas, Common, Mos-Def and Talib Kwali just to name a few. But the majority of rap that is mainstreamed today through MTV and radio is made up of a bunch of no talent thug or gangsta wannabees who can't rap and are trying to be something they're not. I am so sick and tired of people labeling all rap as violent or negative and making it out to be some sort of evil entity in music. You people need to start opening your minds, eyes and ears and stop pigeonholing this form of expression that can be positive, thought provoking and entertaining. Thank you

Well preserving matters truly, sure, rap song has a bad outcome on habits and for youngsters. However, so does so much cartoons, and films, and television ads that suggest that it's my accountability to punch anyone within the face so I can drink a can of soda. I believe it is vitally difficult for dad and mom to check out and lift their youngsters correct this present day, except they ban television from the dwelling. It is only a undertaking. There are plenty of bad university lecturers too. I believe dad and mom simply must check out difficult and do the excellent they may be able to to consultant and instruct their youngsters what's correct and flawed, well and dangerous, however do not depart out the dangerous. Kids must recognize there may be dangerous on the planet, and in addition how you can manage it.

Rappers contradict themselves too much...One minute is peace in the hood than they rap about they'll kill you their crew is the hardest etc...Than lets respect ourselves in the Black community than it's ***** this ***** that etc....Same deal with woman respect women than it's hoe this, hoe that *****...look at their videos....Rappers are only in it for the money and the rock n roll lifestyle...They don't care about people all that community service is mandatory for crimes they did before or after they hit it big.... if the say their not their lying...All of them are like that even 2pac hypocrites only in it for the money....Don't forget all hip hop is a business weather it's cd's,sodas,a car, clothes whatever....If a rapper get in trouble with the law or something all it is free publicity.....I listen to hiphop but I don't take the rappers serious...

Personally, If rap music doesn't effect peopls behavior, then they would have to be brought up with negativity. And I know that because my brother is like that. I listen to rap to but it doesnt effect my behavior. You would also have to be imachure to let it effect your behavior.
