I am so glad we don't have a crook as the new Secretary of state. Jennifer Brunner spoke at our voting rights conference debate 3 weeks ago so she is probably going to have more honest elections.

The biggest thrill is that Blackwell lost (I hought sure they would rig the election for him for his huge roll in helping steal Ohio for Bush in 2004..and what a poor showing 37% to 60% for Strickland.

One thing I don't think they will even consider is thinking about cutting medicaid to sick, homeless people making less than $115 a month to balance their budget (while keeping the ripoff nursing homes since they were reps greater campaign contributors like the republicans did till thankfully they got that unexpected windfall..to be that poor, homeless, and sick and they take away your antipycotic meds or insulin or chemo is just cruel. A former minister like Strickland would not even consider a bill like that.

Whtever they do, it will be better than what Taft could do

1 thing is for sure it can only get better.Taft was the worse thing to ever happen to Ohio in the 68 years I have lived here.I hope the democrats could reverse the smoking ban. That was a real kick in the balls for a lot of good people

well, with the minimum wage going up, the first thing i see happening is inflation. the casinos didn't pass, so there will still be many people w/o jobs. but at least when you are stressed and relax at the bar you'll have to stand outside in 5 feet of snow to enjoy your smoke...good question, where is ohio going?
