I ate a lot of fruits, great for antioxidants to speed healing. Also some mixed nuts for protein. I kind of snacked here and there a lot since I was pumping, sometimes it's hard to remember to eat! Don't worry about chores, it'll get done someday. If you are able to get some help, ask someone to cook dinner or watch the baby while you shower.

if you are breast feeding you need to keep up a healthy diet because the baby is sucking out anywhere from 300-500 calories per day and in order for the baby to be healthy you need to be healthy. No special foods made me less tired or feel any better and you need to get as much rest as you can get, when the baby is sleeping you should be too. I know its hard to do but it is essential for you to recover fully. its normal to be tired even 5 months after giving birth let alone 25 days.... my baby is 3 and 1/2 months old and i still sometimes cant find the time let alone the energy to do anything around the house. Just accept help whenever it is offered and don't be afraid to ask for help when you need it also. You just had a baby no one expects you to do it all. Good luck and best wishes with your new baby!

organic fruits ,veggies, grass fed meat if possible stay with whole foods and you'll be doing good . if you don't feel better after a bit longer though a doctor visit isn't a bad idea or see a holistic doctor fish oil and olive leaf extract worked well for me after my first delivery, i had felt awful and tired for a long time ,3months but my second was a breeze up the same day it was like night and day give yourself some time and grace everyone is different rest as much as possible & enjoy your new baby the house work will be there when you feel better !

I just gave birth to our first child 2 weeks ago through natural birth. Prior to labor, I occasionally walked around my work place for 30 minutes each day during the first trimester and also did prenatal yoga. Labor was very successful for me. My water broke at 3am and by 8:58am, my son arrived after 20 minutes of pushing. After labor, I walked around my room during the three days that I was at the hospital. Less than one week, my body bounced back to normal and I lost 21lbs out of 46lbs that I've gained during pregnancy. I'm Chinese, so I had to drink this ginger soup that my grandma and mother-in-law made. I drank that soup for 1 week. I did not eat healthy at all. Instead, I ate chips and drank mocha frap after the birth of my son. I'm tired because I have to wake up to feed my baby every 2 hrs (we bottle feed). I believe the walking and prenatal yoga helped me recover fast.
By the way, my husband did all the chores at home when we found out that I was pregnant, which is 2 months after I conceived. He would always go grocery shopping with me and do all the carrying. I didn't do much during pregnancy, besides sleep and going to work.

The first month after my son's birth is a blur due to lack of sleep, too many visitors.. I ate whatever was given to me, I drank lots and lots of water. Sleep when the baby sleeps, continue to take your prenatal vitamins, drink plenty of fluids, if your not eating well, try some protein shakes or some ENSURE. Don't worry about house work, it will be there when you're good and ready. Get some fresh air. Just take time to recuperate, and enjoy your new little one. If things seem overwhelming to you, please be sure to see your doctor.

Sweetheart, you just MADE another human being!!!! That in itself is a tremendous job. A newborn is a tremendous job! Enjoy any down time and rest you might get at this time! But, I can say that you may want to touch base with your doctor as you may be experiencing anemia which will ,indeed, make you tired.
Otherwise, eat healthy and enjoy that baby! They grow up SO fast, I know....it seems like just yesterday I brought my baby girl home and now she's 12!

I was back up to par within 24 hours after both deliveries. Are you still taking your vitamins? Sleeping when the baby sleeps? You really should consider seeing your doctor about this.

I DID MORE VEGETABLES TO BUILD MY SYSTEM BACK UP. VEGETABLE AND PLENTY OF FLUIDS WILL HELP YOU. YOU SHOULD NOT BE DOING MUCH CHORES RIGHT NOW. YOU JUST HAD A BABY. ALL YOU SHOULD BE DOING IS GETTING REST WHEN THE BABY IS RESTING. THIS WAY YOU CAN TAKE CARE OF THE BABY PROPERLY WITHOUT BEING TOO TIRED. THE HOUSEWORK CAN WAIT.

The diet will depend on whether or not you are breastfeeding. As for recovery, it will depend on whether you had natural birth or c-section. Natural births will even differ because some are harder than others. It is really individual to the female because all women are different. Good luck.
