I know there have been studies shown that say that people are not affected, but in my personal experience certain people become clinically retarded when there is a full moon.
Your thoughts?

I absolutely believe it. I've worked in a mental hospital and it has been my experience that any time there was a full moon the patients were more restless and we had more incidences of fighting and more admittances. Also I've noticed more car accidents and more police reports in the paper.

I know most psychologists say it is not true; but there is empirical evidence indicating there is a rise in the rate of violent crime, spousal assault and agitation of mentally challenged individuals at the time of the full moon.
It is no coincidence that the moon and the female phase are 28 days and also that if a large group of women are in the same residence they will tend to start cycling at the same time. (This can lead to riots in female prisons). The full moon also effects animal behaviour but this may be the extra light at night.
If the moon phase is strong enough to affect tidal heights (see spring tides) then why should it not effect humans which are 90% water?

I think that since the moon affects the gravitational fields of the earth, i.e. tides, it has an affect on the earth's energy fields as well. And since all living things do have an elecrical current within them, the moon's phases would have an affect on human brainwaves, therefore making people act differently during a full moon.

Yes it does. The moon changes the tides and people's blood pressure's change in a certain way that affects the way our hormones are dealt around within us, thus making people more aggressive and being the reason why so many strange things seem to happen during them.

As silly as it sounds, yes I do.
I love full moons and hate new moons. And I have heard of people acting or feeling just the opposite.

the moon affects my mood, but not neccessarily my behavior. I think it's that way with most people.

I AM affected....

In a Full Moon night something happens to me... I get strong feelings, I feel hungry and lonely ...and I have very very bad dreams... dreams of that ... "twisted" type. Dreams You never forget for the rest of the life, dreams --- You wish they never will be full filled... Dreams directed by a very bad director named
SATAN... Sometimes I think I will need "professional help" --- if there wasn't my boy friend and beloved...

The only reason for a slightly higher crime rate during a full moon would be that the bad guys who are night stalkers can see their crime victims better then.

i worked in a center where we took care of hospice patients, people who needed rehab, dementia patients, the whole nine yards...we all dreaded full moon nights because it did seem like the majority of the residents who were older or had dementia or just werent all there mentally would go crazy

i remember one full moon night and i had this patient who went crazy on me....she followed me around for the longest period of time, then she started to grab my arm and dig her nails into my skin..the staff thought that maybe she thought i was her daughter...but it literally took 4 people to pry her off of me...the rest of the night, if i seen her coming, i was to go the other way

also, i had another women who had Alzheimers...she rarely talked and would just sit there...i was coming up to her one night to check on her and she started to yell at me and hit me violently...even though older residents seem fragile and weak at times, they arent...she hit me so hard, i had bruises on my arms and head from her beating on me...

maybe we all imagine the full moon theory but from my experience, it has happened...
