I so dislike the Ban this Ban that culture which seems to grow by the Day , especially at the hands of the rotten , unnatural ,"stop everything" Politically Correct Lunatics , -- But I really feel with the massive increase in the power of Fireworks as sold today there is a Genuine need for much more control over Fireworks and the Sale of them , it seems that responsible organised Bonfires and Firework displays would be more desirable than groups of Youths wandering round with bags of fireworks letting them of at random , causing Distress to many members of the community , with very loud explosions going on until any hour up to 1 am + waking Old Folk , Infants and terrifying Animals, but perhaps the age of "Common Sense" and Social Responsibility is now considered , shall we say "Out of Date" - Pity

Firework shows should be kept but other fireworks should be banned. It's been 3 days since Guy Fawkes and people are still having fireworks in the middle of the night... i didnt get a wink of sleep last night!

Hell naaa...... fireworks are way to fun to be banned. Maybe there should be higher regulation, but I believe that fireworks should always be around. The fourth of July would not be the same without fireworks.

There is a law in the UK that prohibits fireworks from being set off after 11pm the same as car horns. However it is not enforced. I think that if you let off a firework after 11pm you should get an on the spot £50 fine. They are so selfish the people who set off firecrackers at 2am on a Thursday morning.

Are you part of the banning culture brigade? Please let us get this ridiculous idea of banning everything out of our heads! It's getting ridiculous. Fireworks banned? Why? Are you asking this from an environmental point of view? Should we ban cars? Are you asking this from a public health point of view? Should we ban cars? The list could go on.

Only proper organised events should be able to get fireworks, and a responsible adult who will be held to account for any trouble would have to get a letter or something from the local council, to allow him/her to buy the fireworks.

Yes I think so. Every time I see a stupid display of fireworks I wonder why
we waste so much time and energy on them. We could feed lots of hungry
children with that money. What a waste.

I do not think that fire works should be banned, but they should only be allowed to be set off in open spaces like parks and it should not be used to harm people.
