I work for SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) and from what our customers have been telling us, it's not so much as what school you go to but what you learn. I do know, however, that companies are more inclined to hire you if you have hands-on experience, which you could gain by participating in SAE's Formula SAE challenge. Schools from all over the world participate in this "race" and many of them go on to work for the major car companies (Nissan being one of them). You can look into this event, as well as the rest of SAE, at www.sae.org.

Hope this helps!
