If you heard of the shettle method it states have sex 21/2 to 3 days before ovulation. But you are fertile after the 12th day. So do I have sex on the 12th day or the 10th? I'm confused.

The theory is that sperm carrying the female chromosones are slower stronger swimmers and can live 3 to 7 days in your body. Sperm with male chromosones are faster swimmers but don't live as long. So if you "do the dance" a few days before you ovulate the chances are better that a sperm with Xand Y Chromosones will fertilise the egg. If you are fertile after the 12th day I would do it on the 10th and 11th days.

You are having sex on the 10th day. The "male" sperm are very fast and they will already be past the target by the 12th day. The "female" sperm are slower, so the theory is that the "female" sperm are just getting to the target area as the egg is in place, thereby creating a girl.

You cannot control the sex of the baby. The ones that say it work were lucky. Just be happy with whatever you get because in the end all children are blessings.

I'm not sure, I used the chinese lunar calander, a gender predictor sort of thing and it was right for both of mine :)

you cannot choose the sex of your baby...that's genetics....we are not God...just be happy you get a healthy happy baby.
