How long ago did you have the baby? My first delivery was by forceps and it took a good month before I started feeling better. Some of what you are going through is normal after having a baby, things have to shift back to normal. If it has been much over 6 weeks talk to your doctor.

Forceps are only used in a difficult delivery that needs extra assistance-they are used fairly infrequently because most mum deliver without any extra help, just with pushing. If needed, they will decide whether forceps or a ventouse extraction (vacuum suction) is required, and you will be asked about it-they should explain the side effects. After a forceps delivery, the baby's head may be a little squashed in shape (the skull bones aren't tightly fastened together because its a tight squeeze in the birth canal so the skull becomes 'moulded'), and rarely there is a mark on the side of the baby's head, but generally forceps are safe-the forcep itself is designed to cradle the baby's head. Talk to your midwife or doctor about your fears and she'll be able to explain in more detail.

Forceps are used on the baby, to help ease it from the birth canal. They dont effect your person. The epidural can cause problems with your legs in rare cases, but generally this is numbness, tingling, and shooting pains.

What your discribing sounds like normal body aches after birth, and more importantly, 9 months of pregnancy. Your joints are still recouping from the extra weight, and all the relaxin hormone in your system. It can take months for things to get back to a more normal feelling.

Stay active and exercise, it gives you the best shot at easy recovery.

congratulations on your baby girl i just recently had a baby girl as well (3 and 1/2 months ago) they are truly a miracle. I had to have a vacuum because i was too tired to push her out an my own. I had a lot of aches and pains for about 2 weeks after birth but for some people its longer and some shorter. Talk to your Dr. about it though because there could be some underlying problems that happened because of it. Hope all works out! Good luck with your new baby they are so much fun!

are you breast feeding? Because if you are all you can take is tyenol really, unless doctor says other wise. You should call your doctor to make sure everything is normal going on down there. you could have an infection (not an std or anything) or maybe your just sore because you were soooo streched out. You can use a heated pad on your lower abdominal. How long ago did you have this baby? Because if you just had it this is way normal. but if you had it like a month ago you should really go to the doctor!

It sounds like you had SPD (Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction) with this pregnancy, could of went undiagnosed. Its will definitly take some time.
