Hmmm it depends, is your helmet made of tinfoil? If it's not then Yes its dangerous to be on the roof without your helmet. Wouldn't want to make a facial imprint in the sidewalk now would you?

Ha. that's a good one. it's only dangerous if you intend to fall off the roof and land on your head. If it's a flat roof or is easy to walk or get traction on it's not a big deal, However, it is always a good idea to take safety precautions in case of an accident. (ie gust of wind, false step, or old roof that you'll fall through)

IT'S DANGEROUS TO JUMP AROUND ON THE ROOF EVEN WITH YOUR HELMET ON.
