i have a solicitor and we have just been informed it is on the market by my ex's solicitors. I was hoping that someone who lived in/near Dewsbury may have seen it in the estate agents or lived near enough to see if there was a board outside.

I know he can't sell it without my permission and I don't see why he should get away with having all the proceeds as he refused to get a solicitor at the time of the divorce to sort things out.

I live the other side of the country now so any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Its not on www.rightmove.co.uk, but it may be a private sale.
He shouldn't be able to sell it without your permission though, if you are joint owner.

Try looking on yell.com for estate agents and then call around and I'm sure you find the one that has your house on their books. If your name is on the deeds and mortgage, legally they can't get away with it, if its not you could be in a bit of trouble and would have to go to court to them to register a caution on the title deed until the issue of ownership had been resolved. Best thing you can do is to get yourself a solicitor and prepare for a showdown Good luck.

he cannot sell without your premission,he can offer you first refusal. go onto the Internet put in some estate agents names.put in your postcode. if the estate agents is selling it.it will come up. but the estate agent will not entrain you, unless you have proof that you are joint owner. i would get a very good lawyer.

The Dewsbury Provisor normally lists all the houses for sale in Dewsbury.

That address is not yet listed.

Get into your local CAB office for advice.

He cannot legally put it on the market without your permission, in writing, and the estate agent would insist on all owners signing. He will be breaking the law..
