if you have children that are 10 and up, do you let them date or have a bf/gf?
and if you dont have children or are expecting children, would you?
i dont really have this problem cuz i dont really want a bf right now. but do you or would you?

Dragon does not have children, but if she did, she would not let them date until age 16, when they got their drivers license. Dragon ain't carting around kids on dates. They can hang out in groups before that.

My kids are now grown, and I never had to argue with them about having a boyfriend, because neither one of them had one until they were older. My older daughter was 16, and I was okay with that, and my younger one was 18 before she really "dated" although they both hung out in mixed groups of friends from the time they were 14. I think 16 is the earliest a boy or girl should have a "steady" although supervised mixed groups are fine as early as 13 or so. Supervised! being very important! =)

I have six children------ 3 boys / 3 girls
from 8-18
Group things are okay at 13/14
Serious Bf/ Gf not until 16 that's for both boys and girls!

My oldest is almost 10 and NO she won't be dating. She'll be lucky if I let her when she is 16.
I surely hope that you aren't 10 years old. Because if you are, you have no business being on a computer w/o the consent of your parents. And second of all, why are you even considering dating? Whatever is lacking in your life will not be filled by a member of the opposite sex. Talk to a counselor please. Don't ruin your life.

I am the mother of an 11 yr old daughter. I do not allow her to have a boyfriend at her age. She has friends who have a so called "boyfriend" for every other week. It's all fun and games to them. Sounds innocent but they are getting older and (my daughter especially) are starting to mature into young ladies, lookswise. I don't think at this age they know what a boyfriend is. When she gets older...I'll deal with that then, right after I go out and buy my rifle :P

I have a 13 and 9 year old. My 13 year old son is to young for a gf . and my 9 year old daughter won't be having a bf next year. 10 is extremely to young. 15 is about right.

it dependson the individual person, everyone is different. I have 3 boys 12, 13, and 14 the all date but within reason.

My daughter is 8. Some boy called the house proclaiming he was her boyfriend, so now she is grounded until further notice!!!!! She isn't allowed that until she is in her teens.
