It's good that they're finally coming out into the open about human-cow hybrids, but they've been doing that for years. Look at Margaret Thatcher for example.
But seriously, an embryo is not a human or a cow, and I doubt they would allow this to grow past a small number of cells. They are created in fertility clinics and discarded all the time. I don't have a problem with this.

Yes, absolutely. I think the media is generating unnecessary hysteria with this one, implying that the intention is to create something that is half cow, half human. As you state, what scientists want to do is to insert human DNA into cow ova which have had their genetic material removed.
Given the expense and risks involved in obtaining human ova compared with the expense and risks involved in obtaining bovine ova, it seems like a perfectly reasonable request to me.

Of course they should! Just don't freak out in a few years when you see some dude strolling along the walk wearing horns! Seriously, yes, it is worth the slight risk. The promise of cures for Parkinson's, which my wife has, and diabetes, which I have, is real, and would save millions of people and untold billions of dollars. I say, why haven't they approved it already?

Yes
If we sit there and say, "we don't have the right to do this" or "we shouldnt 'play' God", then nothing will get done.... God's not gonna cure diseases for us.
If research is going to help people, then we should always support it. Plain and simple.
