Yahoo finance easy & free & comprehensive
Use the quote box if you know the symbol or there is a symbol lookup next to the quote box if you just know the name but not the symbol.
Also the profile & key stats have info on each company once you enter the ticker symbol.

also, the most actives (under the DOW chart on the left) will give you the big movers on the NYSE, the NASDAQ & the AMEX
