Richard Harris is my fav actor, and he has played a lot of interesting roles in his career. I think 'Dumbledore' does not really represent his true talents - do you agree? What is your favorite Harris role and why?

Mine is Cromwell, I think its dead cool and brave since he was an Irishman and a nationalist to boot. I think he did a really good job, and gave me a passion for history since I was young, for which I am very grateful.

He did once say that he only took the part in Harry Potter because he new his grand daughter would never forgive him for it if he didn't! It's a shame that it gets brought up along side his name all the time now he's gone. It's not that it was a bad part but certainly not the greatest in his long career. I've seen him in so many roles I couldn't pick a favourite (and being honest I can't remember his performance enough to comment exactly on some anyway). I do remember enjoying The Wild Geese on tv a while back and I liked him in Unforgiven too.

I first recall seeing Richard Harris in 'The Wild Geese' along side Richard Burton and Roger Moore. Out of all the characters, he seemed to have so much more personality in comparison.

I too have loved his work I thought his role in "The Field" was brilliant there was very little talking on his behalf in the film but as an Irish person myself I totally understood his character. Fantastic Actor.

I loved 'A man called Horse' and its sequel 'Return of A man called Horse' where he is an englishman who becomes part of a native American tribe. A bit like Dances with Wolves really, but aimed at a more adult audience.(There are some graphic scenes of rituals practised by the Lakota sioux)
