How do you prevent being attacked by monkeys in Kowloon?

Every time I go there i get surrounded and attacked. Others I know go every day and are ignored

Are you carrying any food? When I was in Thailand they said to not take anything with you that might attract the monkeys, such as food, bags or whatever. I doubt that will prevent it, perhaps make them less likely to go for you.
