I wish to purchase a mahjong solitair game that I can play on my computer or that I can just play from a 3.5" disc. Does anyone know where I can purchase one?
I have tried downloading one but it just stops my whole computer from working.
I had one on my computer when I first purchased it but now it has disappeared (probably somewhere in cyberspace1) and I love playing it.

On the other hand, if you would like to play the REAL 4 PLAYER mahjong which Chinese people play (NOT solitaire), there is a site called www.ninedragons.com . The game is called "Hong Kong Mahjong" and uses real Chinese rules, similar to Gin Rummy and Poker. It is very fun once you learn the actual rules and you can download a free demo, or purchase from their site.

The traditional Mahjong game is played by four players who attempt to be the first player to build a complete suits (usually in groups of 3) of tiles and complete a set of 14 or 17 tiles. The traditional Majong game is also a gambling game. The solitaire version of Mahjong is a recent variation and challenges the skill of the player to match all of the tiles before running out of possible moves and having tiles left over that can't be matched. Did you try going to gamehouse? I have the game and play for free as much as I want the only thing is occasionally there is an advertisement that will come on before or after a game it only lasts maybe 15 seconds, but you can play for free. If you dont want to do that you cam go to Best Buy or Target some where they have a lot of games and get one I think they are about $20.

Stores like Wal Mart, Target, or K mart sell game discs in their electronics department for about $10.
