Oh, your mommy won't let you pierce your eyebrow...does she still change you diaper too. Grow some stones and live your own life, she's your mom, she'll get over it pretty quickly...tell her it's either that or a tattoo.

Let her know that when you decide to stop wearing jewelry in your piercing,, no one will notice there was even a hole there. I had mine pierced 3 or 4 years ago and I don't wear it much anymore. The only people that have noticed it, besides people that already knew it was pierced, are the ones who wax my eyebrows. I doubt you will be getting that done. As long as its something you can hide when you want to, your mom should be fine with it. Unless you are really young (under 16). You didn't say how old you are.

Explain to her two sound reasons you have for wanting the piercing. It's a personal form of expression, whatever. If you are respectful of her concerns, she may be open and respectful of your decision to have your eyebrow pierced.

Your mother may have her own ideas about body piercing, and how an individual can be labeled or pigeon-holed because of their personal style.

I have several friends that have had it done with no adverse reactions or effects. One is an adolescent clinical psychologist, and it helped her in her practice; all the kids thought it was "cool" their shrink had a body piercing!

Good luck!

I had my eye brow pierced when i was 16 years old. I didn't even ask, I just went got it pierced and suprised them with it. My dad was really pissed off. I suggest that, if you really want it. I don't even wear mine anymore and i still have a scar.

I would say be honest and tell her the reasons it is important to you.
