I got 1 positive HPT and 2 negatives. I'm 9 days late and went for the blood test when I was 7 days late. She said "It's negative but inconclusive because you have to be 50 days since your last period" and I was only 40 past when I took the test.

I've been told the blood test is able to be taken one week after fertilization and is virtually 100% accurate, the only time it isn't is if the lab makes an error. It works by measuring the exact amount of hCG in your blood.

I've had one preg blood test (when I was preg with my son) I don't know what AF is, but my results were very faint, (I had a faint urine test positive, and the blood test was more accurate, and it showed that I was less than a month pregnant at the time.)
