His sister approached me in a nail salon and said I would be perfect for him. She gave me his email address, I wrote and he wrote me back. A week later we met, a month later he asked me to go ring shopping, and 3 months later he proposed. I was 25 and he was 33 at the time. We saved our money for our dream wedding and we've now been together for 3 years, married 1 year and because of his pastry chef background, he even made our wedding cake - a 5-tier masterpiece that was as delicious as it was gorgeous.

Actually, God led me to him before I met him.

He had dark hair & dimples (double cha-ching for me!) & we met at a wedding that many thought should never have happened. Now it is said that the wedding had to happen in order for us to meet. I was trying to get his attention & he was trying to get mine.

We knew all of the same people - we should have met so much sooner; my ex-boyfriend lived on a street that is my now step-daughter's name; and my grandmother thought my ex-boyfriends last name was the one I ended up with. God gave me signs of who I needed to be with, and it obviously wasn't my ex-boyfriend.

For our second date, he cooked me dinner.

And God needed us together...my now husband received a calling & became a pastor.

He was good looking, a great dancer & on our first date, he took me to a very nice restaraunt for dinner, a private plane ride over the city (it was the day after Christmas, so lights were still on everywhere) and then we saw the movie "Dumb & Dumber" to break up the intensity of the night. That is us, romantic & goofy...we love to love each other, but we also have a lot of just silly fun, too.

We've been together for almost 13 years & married for 10 & a half of them. :)

I met my husband for the first time as a teen. We were suppose to go on a date but never did
13 years later we met again----- .(didn't realize it was the same guy until later) what captured me first were his eyes. What held my heart was seeing him with my children! He did not have to love them but he did anyway!

He wasn't my lover until we got married. I think that's the first thing that impressed me, he liked me for me not what he thought he could get from me.
