Absolutely not. Christmas is Christmas and if someone doesnt celebrate Christmas then that is just fine, but don't take my holidays away from me or my children because you don't celebrate them. I have never been offended by hearing in passing someone say Happy Hannukah. Christian people need to stand up for their rights too. We need to have a loud voice that says we are not putting up with this any longer. If you want me to respect your beliefs and your observances then you better damn well respect mine.

I don't understand why someone would be offended by hearing Merry Christmas. I am a Muslim and I say Happy Eid to everyone so why shouldn't Christians be allowed to say Merry Christmas.
When I was in high school there was a fury over Merry Christmas and I was like wow this is retarded. It was funny cause I myself was saying Merry Christmas to all my Christian friends. The only people who were offended were the ones who didn't follow any religion.

I am not offended by it at all. When I worked at a store they made me say "Happy Holidays" which made me upset. I love to hear and say " MERRY CHRISTMAS"......but I do find more and more are giving it up and switching to " happy holidays" what a way for most to ruin my shopping fun for the holidays.

If somebody needs me happy something, I take it as a act of kindness, friendliness and not something greater. With all this laptop crap, all of us will become a Scrooge and seems for a combat. So unhappy. Human decency is going to hell. Christians whine in the event that they hear happy holiday trips (even even though it initially replaced into used to consult with the combination of Christmas & New Years blended and that's a factor of many songs for "this time of three hundred and sixty 5 days" going back to "White Christmas" with Bing Crosby. He replaced right into a incredibly conservative Christian and he did no longer look to recommendations. It is likewise derived from midsection English holidai meaning "holy day". So why do those darn holy rollers get their shorts tied up in the form of knot? while have not they? human beings of different back grounds do no longer look to get as disenchanted, and so relatively. maximum smile and bypass on their way. even although I won't inevitably bypass right into a temple and choose all of us a Merry Christmas. shall we face it - "happy holiday trips" is all inclusive, all holiday trips for each individual. Merry Christmas says "no person yet us have a superb to have fun!" this is between the flaws I hate approximately Christmas and that i'm Christian ( I hate to admit). I relatively have seen and heard human beings of all backgrounds and religions making a music "holiday" music, regardless of if it mentions Christmas or no longer. So say regardless of - it relatively is the thought that counts. yet basically understand - somebody is going to ***** no count what!

Not at all. People should stop being so overly sensitive about everything. If somebody wishes you a Merry Christmas and you don't celebrate Christmas, then just smile politely and thank them or wish them a Happy whatever you celebrate whether it be Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, etc. Let's all try to be nice for a change.

I don't celebrate Christmas - but it does not offend me when someone says it. To each his own. I understand that the sentiment is a kind one.... Usually.... now if you are saying Merry Xmas to someone who says Happy Holidays just to make a point - then arent you actually MISSING the whole point of the season? Isn't it supposed to be about 'peace on earth and goodwill toward men'? The love of Christ?
Just wondering.

No, we've been saying it for years and I don't plan on changing now. It's just like a lot of other words that people are using instead of the original ones, bugs me, like the first time I heard a person say,,book it! I didn't know what they were talking about and asked them. why couldn't they just have said hurrry up? sounds dumb to me.
Anyway, Merry Christmas to you all.

No, I won't be offended. However, since there are many non Christians, I try to remember to say: "Happy Holidays", just in case. I don't want to create a controversy, I just want to spread love...
